The Wausau Festival of Arts wants YOU for our Annual ARTrageous Weekend on September 10-11, 2022. We have a number of artist amenities including: cash awards, swag bag with local coupons and discounts, complimentary booth sitters, overnight security, matching grant program and reasonable loading/unloading with creative problem solving for set-up and space usage. Every consideration is given to artists’ special requests.
This highly acclaimed festival is held in Wausau’s Downtown River District Shopping Center, recently named one of Seven Wisconsin Cities With Can’t-Miss Shopping Experiences by TravelWisconsin.com. Additionally, the Wausau River District was one of three recipients of the 2019 Great American Main Street Award (GAMSA). We are a perennial favorite of artists, art lovers, and art buyers since 1965. Our location brings upwards of 20,000 visitors who enjoy live entertainment on the hour at two different stages, various local and charitable food stands, as well as art opportunities for kids and adults, and kid-friendly entertainment. In addition to all of that, there is a Young Collectors’ Market and Scholarship Silent Auction which brings down even more potential buyers to the area.
In operation for over half a century, we are a well-established, beautifully run event hosting 120+ juried artists in 11 different types of media. We are seeking fine, unique, and/or limited edition original art.
Advertisement and marketing includes: newspaper, TV, radio, social media, state and regional wide publications, and online advertising.
